A look back at the weekend’s events in Nogent-sur-Marne
This weekend, the town of Nogent-sur-Marne was the scene of three events which brought together young and old, in a friendly and festive atmosphere.
✍️Great Dictation of Baltard
The Pavillon Baltard hosted an exceptional intergenerational dictation, with the presence of the famous Laurent Voulzy as a great reader. The participants, whether children, adolescents or adults, were able to demonstrate their talent and their love of the French language. This moment of sharing and culture was crowned with success, thanks in particular to the support of Nogent traders who offered a gourmet snack to all participants.
We would like to warmly congratulate the winners who won magnificent prizes and express our gratitude to all those who took advantage of this event to make a donation to UNICEF.
🌱 Gift of planting
Saturday morning, gardening enthusiasts responded to the distribution of plants dug up from the Nogent massifs. This initiative allowed many residents to leave with a little piece of nature to replant at home, thus contributing to the greenery of their personal spaces.
If you were unable to participate, a catch-up session is scheduled for Friday, October 18, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.at the green spaces depot, located at 13, rue Jean Monnet. Don’t forget to bring a bag to collect your plant!
♻️Composting training
The training on composting was also a great success, with participants eager to learn how to recycle their organic waste. Led by a master composter, this session was an opportunity to discuss good practices for transforming food waste into quality compost. A great approach to encourage ecological practices and adopt a more environmentally friendly lifestyle.
You can find composting bins in the following locations:
– Watteau Park – Rue Yvon
– MJC Louis-Lepage – 36, boulevard Gallieni
– Youth center – 68, rue de Plaisance
– Jardin Legendre Chéron – 2bis, rue Jacques Kablé
A big thank you to all the people of Nogent who participated in these events. Your commitment and enthusiasm show once again that Nogent-sur-Marne is a city where the spirit of solidarity and sustainable development takes on its full meaning.
Stay tuned to find out about upcoming events. We still have many exciting initiatives to share with you! 🌿🤝
