2nd place: Toyonaka City

The second place was “Toyonaka City”. Toyonaka City is a city located in northern Osaka Prefecture. It is north of Osaka City, across the Kanzaki River, and has a history of developing as a tourist town. Residential areas are scattered throughout the city, the most famous of which is Senri New Town, which was developed as Japan’s first large new town.

In Toyonaka City, the main stations are Hankyu Corporation’s Toyonaka Station and Osaka Monorail’s Kita-Osaka Kyuko Railway’s Senri-Chuo Station. Osaka International Airport is also in the north-west of the city, providing excellent transport access. It is a compact city that is very convenient and has all the elements that make it easy to live.

1st place: Suita City

The first place was “Suita City”. Suita City is a city located east of Toyonaka City. It developed alongside the development of Senri New Town, which straddles Toyonaka City and Suita City, and gained recognition through hosting the 1970 Japan World’s Fair. Famous tourist spots include the Expo’70 Memorial Park and the Tower of the Sun.

In terms of transportation access, the JR Tokaido Main Line, Kita-Osaka Kyuko Railway, and Osaka Monorail are all in service. It is close to Osaka City, and it is attractive because it combines the convenience of the city with the calm atmosphere of the suburbs.
