For us parents, Carl’s death was, of course, a cross. Today we see that it was also a blessing, says the blessed mother to Vatican Radio. Carl Acutis on the day of his liturgical commemoration. He reveals that he receives daily testimonies of miracles through his intercession. If not healings, then conversions – she says, emphasizing, however, that the greatest achievement of her son, who died 18 years ago, is the revival of the Eucharistic cult in many corners of the world.

The mother of the future saint reminds that this is what Carl cared about more. He saw long lines of young people for concerts and matches. However, no one was rushing to meet Jesus in the tabernacle. Today, however, from all over the world – from Japan, China, India, Africa and the United States – come testimonies of Eucharistic rebirth, which takes place thanks to Carl’s example.
As Antonia Salzano says, her son, who died at the age of only 15, shows that everyone can achieve holiness if only they use what God gives us in the sacraments, the Word of God and prayer, such as the rosary.
Speaking about the miracles that occur through the intercession of her son, she expresses the belief that these are signs that confirm what Carlo discovered, that the Lord Jesus is really present among us. Apparently, there is a need for such signs today, he adds. People write to her who were in a very difficult situation, their marriage was falling apart or they could not have children, they were seriously ill, they had cancer, metastases… and thanks to Carl’s intercession, they experienced God’s help.
Antonia Salzano notes, however, that the people who need her son’s message most are young people, who today are in great danger because of pornography and other threats that, like smartphones, completely capture their attention and deprive them of their freedom, making them become slaves, little puppets, like in Pinocchio. Carlo shows that you can oppose it by entrusting yourself to God – adds the mother of the holy teenager.
