Kevin Costner releases song to benefit those affected by Hurricane Milton

Kevin Costneractor and filmmaker recognized for his work in Yellowstone y Horizon: An American Sagahas joined humanitarian efforts to help the victims of hurricanes Helene and Milton.

With his band Modern WestCostner released a new song titled “Find Your Way” on October 11, 2024, the proceeds of which will go entirely to the charity organization Hope Force Internationaldedicated to providing assistance in areas affected by natural disasters.

In a message shared on your account InstagramCostner explained the personal importance music has had in his life and how he hopes his new composition will have a similar impact on those going through difficult times.

“I’ve been through seasons of darkness where I clung to song lyrics that really helped me get through.”wrote the actor, expressing his wish that “Find Your Way” serve as an emotional refuge for those “they lose hope” in the midst of adversity. This song is the first that the band has released in more than four years.

The verses that Costner sings form a message of encouragement: “When the darkness overtakes you, and the stars in the sky abandon you, and there is no shelter for days and days, I hope you always find your way.”

As indicated on social networks, the piece was composed by Teddy Morgan y Park Chisolmboth members of his band, in collaboration with the singer and composer Kat Higginswho also contributed his voice to the choirs. Patrick Samson contributed the sound of the Hammond organ for musical accompaniment.

Costner highlighted that all income generated from the sale of “Find Your Way” in Bandcamp —where available at a voluntary price—will go directly to Hope Force International.

“I hope this song means something to you and that you consider purchasing it to benefit the victims of these terrible storms,” the actor noted in his publication.

In addition to Costner’s musical initiative, other stars from Hollywood and the American entertainment industry have made generous contributions to support the victims.
