Bulgaria is dying! – View Info –

/ world today news/ “Bulgaria is dying at a rate that no other European or African country is doing. Citizens find it difficult to live normally with the government’s right-wing policies. People want to change the current state of the country. They are already struggling to make ends meet.”

This was stated by the chairman of the BSP, Mihail Mikov, in the program “More of the Day” on BNT. He said that the left will begin negotiations tomorrow with two of the parliamentary groups – DPS and BDC to request a vote of no confidence in the government, as a letter has also been sent to the PG of PP Ataka. Mikov explained that one of the topics for the request for this vote will be internal security. “A topic that seriously worries the Bulgarian citizens – with the numerous murders and the aggression on the street, which does not meet the respect of the services”, indicated the leader of the socialists. He was categorical that those working in the internal security system are demotivated. “The reform that was made in the sector through the budget is a reform of cuts”, said Mikov and emphasized that the visible results are available.

The chairman of the BSP pointed to health care problems and the demographic crisis as other topics for the requested vote of no confidence. “In Bulgaria, even if you pay for your health insurance, you will still have to either pay extra for health care or wait for one. This is the result of the reforms of the rulers and the Minister of Health”, said Mihail Mikov categorically. He also recalled that when the government’s budget was adopted, the National Assembly’s decision from last year to deal with the demographic crisis was not accepted and added that the BSP has always protected the interest of the people and is the main opposition force and alternative to this government. “Despite the fact that there are political forces that present themselves as oppositional, only the left remains so,” Mikov was categorical and added that the BSP is gaining the trust of the people, and the proof of this is that former members of the ABV are already starting to return in BSP. “They understand that ABV does not represent the interests of left-wing people in Bulgaria,” he added.

On the occasion of the upcoming Congress of the Left, Mikhail Mikov said that the registered-election meetings will begin and a report on the activities of the past year will be prepared. “At these meetings, we will discuss where Bulgaria is going, also the platform of the BSP for the Congress, the policy for the individual sectors. Important issues will also be discussed, such as whether there is a welfare state, whether there is freedom of speech, whether there is a legal, democratic state at all,” he explained.

Mihail Mikov also said that BSP categorically supports the candidacy of Irina Bokova for UN Secretary General. “I am afraid that petty internal political squabbles can ruin this great chance for Bulgaria for Bokova to occupy this important post. It enjoys exceptional support and popularity not only in the country, but also on a global scale.”
