Overall, City Manager Petra Stricker draws a good conclusion about Sunday shopping. In addition to a well-attended flea market on Herzogplatz, which was also well stocked with many traders, many shops in the city center were open. Sandra Cleemann, chairwoman of the Joint Trade Association, also gave a consistently positive assessment. “The day was great. A nice end to our four shopping Sundays, some of which were rainy. “It was a great day, the city was full of people, the weather was great, and the fish market was also well received by visitors,” she said.
According to Petra Stricker, the market crier’s business on Schlossplatz got off to a rather slow start on Sunday. Overall, there was a good response. As was the case last Sunday, there were around 20 cosplayers in very imaginative costumes, including from the cosplay group Imperial Navy, because on Sunday the board game and cosplay day, which had literally fallen through at the end of June, was rescheduled. In several places there was the opportunity to play board games, which was also actively used. Nevertheless, Petra Stricker announced that there will be a separate cosplay day in Zweibrücken next year.
