This is why Sony suddenly had to refund PS5 copies of Hotline Miami 2 in Australia

Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number was released in 2015, and although everyone around the world loved the sequel to this amazing game, one country was left out. Australia‘s strict ratings board has struck again, with the game banned for containing indecent scenes depicting sexual violence.

Last October, Hotline Miami and its sequel were released natively on PS5 in Australia, perhaps mending a decade of wounds. However, despite some people buying the game, it was recently refunded as the Australian Classification Board once again targeted the game’s launch.

If you bought the game you can get a refund, but it looks like Hotline Miami 2 and Australia are still a pair that won’t work. The creators of the game even recommend pirated copies to Australian fans.

After that, Devolver sends the Eurogamer image in response to the news that it has been removed from the PlayStation Store. Here’s a screenshot from Hotline Miami 2, it says “The good times never last”.
