Many were saying things I was not saying; I missed some opportunities: Anyana
Ananya is one of the most popular heroines of Malayalis. Now Swargam is the film that Ananya will act after a gap. This is the film directed by Regis Antony after Oru Sekund Klass Yatra.
Ananya says that she still feels so sad about not getting a chance in Malayalam cinema. The actress says that many people told her after her marriage that she was not in films and will not do films anymore. Anyana was speaking in an interview given to Mathruthumi.
“The sadness of not getting a chance in the film is still there. After my marriage, many people said that I am not in films and I am not making films. The speech was that I don’t really work in the industry and I have no interest in it.
I never said that to anyone. A lot of people started saying things I didn’t say. So I missed opportunities from many films. It seems that at that time there was a movement of married women living away.
I actually went to the location for Nadodi Mannan’s shoot the next day after the wedding. I had a shooting balance on it. It was a combination series with Dileepatten. I did not rest even for a year after the wedding. But for some reason such a conversation came up.
And I didn’t tell anyone about it. I thought those who say it should say it. But when it starts to affect the profession, we also get a little down. Even then, the film seems to be looking for us, and we got good characters left and right. When that happens, I feel happy,’ says Anya.
