The exhibition “From Hokkaido with Love – Furniture Design by CondeHouse” opened today at the Designforum Steiermark.
At CondeHouse, the essence of Japan is captured through traditional craftsmanship. The Japanese living style is characterized by natural materials, simple surfaces and clear geometric shapes. On the initiative of Tischlerei Prödl, the Designforum Steiermark is showing a selection of the most iconic pieces from CondeHouse.
“It is always nice to see when the good relationships within the international network of UNESCO Cities of Design bear fruit. CondeHouse has its headquarters in the City of Design Asahikawa and is now exhibiting in the City of Design Graz. What we also have in common is the high level of craftsmanship in dealing with wood as a material – visitors can see this for themselves,” said Eberhard Schrempf, Managing Director of Creative Industries Styria, during the opening.
“From Hokkaido with Love – Furniture Design by CondeHouse” can be seen at the Designforum Steiermark at Landhausgasse 7 from Tuesday to Saturday (1:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.) until October 26, 2024.
