Stars Ryan Reynolds and his wife, Blake Lively, donated $1 million to help communities affected by the hurricanes ‘Helene’ and ‘Milton’in Florida and North Carolina.
Both actors decided not to sit idly by and make a significant contribution to the relief efforts.
The marriage donation was announced by Feeding Americaa charity that works to provide food assistance to those in need.

“Their long-standing support has been instrumental in times of crisis, helping our network on the ground before, during and after disasters,” said Claire Babineaux-Fontenot, executive director of the organization.
“These funds will be essential for food banks facing the difficult task of providing basic needs, such as water and ready-to-eat food, for communities that have suffered devastating losses and long recovery.”
According to VarietyHurricane ‘Helene’ left more than 227 dead, while ‘Milton’ has so far claimed the lives of seven people in Florida, in addition to causing massive flooding and significant damage, such as the collapse of the stadium roof Tropicana Field of Tampa.

The couple’s generosity is not new. In October of last year, when the conflict between Israel and Hamas began, Lively and Reynolds donated $1 million to the International Committee of the Red Cross to support children in Israel and Palestine.
Likewise, they stood out in their charitable actions during the COVID-19 pandemic, donating one million dollars, divided between ‘Feeding America’ y ‘Food Banks Canada’.
His commitment to humanitarian causes has been constant, having also supported organizations such as ‘Water First Education & Training’dedicated to education and provision of clean water, as well as the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in response to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
