The commitment that he will act on the observations of ordinary people, which he unfilteredly accepted during the pre-election tours, and will move with the strategy of renewal, unity and political autonomy, was undertaken by the president and re-candidate for the president of PaSoK, Nikos Androulakis , during his speech at the central pre-election event in Thessaloniki.
“We continue on the same path and I deeply believe that if the PASoK continues united, with the responsible word, with the political program, with a competent executive force, we can in the next national elections not only look the New Democracy in the eyes but be the winner”, he emphasized
For this reason, he pointed out that in Sunday’s elections they are not only voting for the president of the party, but also for PaSoK to become the next government in the country.
“I never said that I have the infallibility of the Pope, but I do not accept, however, that anyone underestimates what we have achieved,” said Mr. Androulakis, admitting that he also made mistakes while in the position of president.
Regarding the renewal, he said that it was not a product of transfers, but was made through the bowels of the faction, and regarding the political autonomy of PaSoK, he stated that it is non-negotiable.
He spoke about a modern political ethic and underlined that for PaSoK, politics does not begin where ethics ends, but politics without ethics does not exist.
Mr Androulakis attacked Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and accused him of being a “statist for the powerful and a neoliberal for the people”. He blamed him for the collapse, as he said, of the NHS and for the state of education, the issue of punctuality and the increases in energy prices.
“ND’s choice is not to serve the many, but to serve the few and what kept it standing is the people’s tolerance of the fear that Tsipras will not return with Kammenos” he noted and added that this fear no longer exists .
