Raging aggressor in Revierbahnhof attacks police officers, spits on them and smears blood in the detention room

A young Iranian who gave federal police a lot of work to do at Essen Central Station on Thursday morning (October 10th) was behaving out of control. Finally, he smeared his detention cell with his own blood.

At around 2:20 a.m., a federal police patrol became aware of the 24-year-old because he was loudly insulting travelers. He was unable to produce any identification documents during the check. The man behaved verbally aggressively and uncooperatively towards the officers.

To establish his identity, the uniformed officers asked him to accompany them to the federal police station. He didn’t even think about it and lashed out when the officers attacked him, so that they finally had to take him to the ground and restrain him with handcuffs. Because he fought furiously, he sustained a laceration to his head and a police officer injured his knee. He remained fit for duty.

The federal police searched the 24-year-old Iranian in his office and found a document that bore his name. Meanwhile, his aggression continued. “He made unconstitutional statements,” a police spokesman noted, without going into the specific content of these statements.

An ambulance crew treated the laceration of the young man, who continued to be highly aggressive. While the emergency services took photographs of him and took his fingerprints, he insulted her several times and spat. Finally, he smeared his blood on the detention room.

The 24-year-old was initially taken into custody to prevent further crimes. The federal police initiated an investigation into resistance to law enforcement officers, use of unconstitutional license plates and insults.

The police report mentions nothing about reasons for detention or deportation.
