The Lebanese singer Elissa performed a major art concert in the Emirati city of Dubai, which continued until early Saturday morning, despite criticism from the Lebanese and Arab public for her singing due to the difficult conditions in the country her going through.
Elissa started the ceremony with a speech in which she clarified the situation, because she confirmed that she had been following what was happening in Lebanon behind the scenes. But she “discovered that there was no need to stay at home, so she decided to go up on the stage and perform her songs at the Dubai concert to bring the image of her beautiful country to the world.”
She said: “I present this concert because life must go on, and because Lebanon is now experiencing a temporary phase and will come back stronger, and because responsibilities towards my country and towards a band for which I am responsible. “
During the concert organized by Moments Events, the Lebanese singer played a mix of her most famous songs. Such as “I Don’t Want,” “We Will Live,” and “Asaad Wahda,” along with songs in which she flirted with Lebanon.
Egyptian singer Tamer Ashour took part in the ceremony, who performed a collection of his most famous songs in front of a large audience of different nationalities.
Ashour performed the songs “Hatwashna,” “Tiji Netrahane,” and “Hejili Moujoa.”
After the concert, Ashour spoke at a press conference moderated by journalist Rabie Henedy, thanking his fans and the city of Dubai, describing it as “a city of taste, beauty and music. “
He expressed his happiness by participating with the singer Elissa in this performance, and revealed a new artistic collaboration that they would soon bring together, and sent her a message of support, wishing her success and excellence to her in her career.
Ashour expressed his support for the idea of artists entering the field of production, stressing that it increases the responsibility of the artist and gives him more freedom in presenting his your work.
Regarding his experience singing in non-Egyptian dialects, he said that he was reluctant to engage in this experience. But he pointed out that he hopes to present melodies for works that are appropriate for the national times of the Gulf, clarifying that he sees himself as the “Prince of Sorrow” because of the type of song he prefers, but personally he has a sense of humor.
The Egyptian singer sent a message of love and appreciation to her fellow singer Sherine Abdel Wahab, expressing the hope that the time to come would see success and fame in her artistic career, and stressed the need to focus on her art and the love of her fans.
Ashour pointed out that Sherine’s latest album, despite not being officially aired, was a success and posted the highest listening levels on social media platforms.
Regarding the idea of providing tunes to the artists “Taulit” and “Wigz,” Tamer Ashour confirmed that they represent a different style of singing that relies heavily on established musical compositions, and not on traditional tunes, explaining that this type of music makes them different and makes them unique in their artistic vision.
He said that every artist has his own style, and that he prefers to stick to melodies and lyrics that express deep feelings, adding that the diversity of musical styles shows the continuous development in the art world.
At the end of the conference, Ashour refused to comment on his crisis with singer Hossam Habib, stressing that his apology was not accepted.
