Mexico City. The property where the Deputy Attorney General’s Office for Human Rights was located, located at 12 López Street, in the Historic Center, was assigned to the Attorney General’s Office (FGR), to be used exclusively as administrative offices.

The president of the Institute of Administration and Appraisals of National Assets (Indaabin), Víctor Julián Martínez Bolaños, published the agreement in the Official Gazette of the Federation (DOF), in which he specified that it is the building with Federal Real Estate Registry 9-17637-3, and with an area of 1,625 square meters.

“The destination only confers on the Attorney General’s Office the right to take advantage of the property intended for authorized use, but does not transfer ownership of it, nor does it grant any real right over it, in accordance with the provisions of article 70. of the General Law of National Assets,” the document states.

In the agreement of September 27, which will come into force this Wednesday, it is indicated that the FGR must guard and monitor the property, being obliged to cover the necessary expenses for its conservation and maintenance, “and other inherent services that, where appropriate , are generated, as well as the corresponding insurance against damage to the property.”

The Federal Judicial Police (currently the Criminal Investigation Agency) then operated in the building.

However, it is located within the “B” perimeter of the Historical Monuments Zone, called “Historic Center of Mexico City”, so any work carried out on the reference property must have prior authorization from the INAH. .

It also warns that if the FGR gives the federal property a use other than that established herein, without the prior authorization of the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit, it stops using or needing it, “it will be withdrawn from its service” to be managed directly. by Indaabin.
