The SMV of the Schwäbisch Gmünder Hans Baldung High School is donating a total of 1,800 euros to three clubs for charitable purposes.
Schwäbisch Gmünd. The letters HBG not only stand for “Hans Baldung Gymnasium”, but also embody the school’s mission statement: “Humanitas – Education – Community”.
They are less responsible for “education”, but “community” and above all “humanity” – these are the ideals that the SMV of the HBG wants to implement. That’s why she sets herself the goal every year of earning as much money as possible in order to then donate it to charitable causes in the Schwäbisch Gmünd area.
The SMV was busy throughout the last school year. Not only did she carry out her own campaigns, such as school discos and selling and sending Santa letters at Christmas, but she was always on hand to support the school with general events. As a result, the SMV was able to earn almost 2,000 euros in the 2023/24 school year.

For different areas
This year the SMV decided to donate to three very different organizations in order to help in many different areas.
The first donation of 600 euros went to the Haus Lindenhof Foundation in Gmünd, which primarily cares for people with disabilities and older people.
The SMV donated another 600 euros to the Ostalb animal protection association, because animals also need our help and depend on our humanity.
The members of the SMV are particularly pleased to donate to “Kleine Helden eV” for the first time and to support this new project with 600 euros. The non-profit organization was only founded this year by Marcel Grimm. His mission is to give joy and support to children in hospitals, hospices and other facilities. As a “superhero”, Marcel Grimm wants to give children courage and strength.
