Hockey legend Juhani “Tami” Tamminen arrived on Thursday evening Vares -to the invited guest screening of the film together Mari– with his wife.
Dressed in a white suit jacket, Tami, 74, tells Iltalehte that she is grateful to film producer Rimbo Salomaa for the invitation to the film screening.
Seiska newspaper reported in May that Tami Tamminen is retiring. Now, however, he says that no official retirement has taken place, but the life of an entrepreneur continues.
– I have had an education business for 30-40 years. Life goes on within that framework.
So are you retired?
– Yes, it is always the journalist’s point of view. I really like this, Tami answers pension surveys.
– I have been an entrepreneur all my life, why would I change this? Then there’s the supportive wife, so it’s so easy, Tami adds, looking at her wife.
The Mari wife listens to what her husband says without contradicting them, but she does say that she slows down her husband’s pace when necessary.
– When he goes up, I pull the legs back to the ground. It has been our custom for 60 years, Mari laughs.
– It has worked well, Tami answers his wife.
As usual, Tami’s autumn and winter are marked by ice hockey. Although the work of the commentator has decreased, watching sports does not stop.
– We have a good League and puck is played all over the kingdom. Of course, I watch mostly in Turku, but I do go to watch IFK games in Helsinki.
– Tampere is also nice to have a new hall. They both have good gangs, Tamminen concludes.
But Tammis also has something to say about the main character of the evening’s film, Jussi Vareksi, a private detective from Turku.
– Vares is also a tough guy. It’s the same level as us Lions, Tami laughs at the end.
Vares premiere of the film on October 23. The film was directed by Tuukka Temonen.
