Microsoft has released a major update Windows 11 Update 24H2. Early users are reporting problems with it.
For several days A new version of Windows 11 is now availablemarked as 24H2. This is one of the biggest updates that includes many new features, fixes and changes. It will be available gradually, so the first users can already use the new operating system. The thing is, there is a bit of a problem with it.
Problem with Windows 11 24H2
Users who have upgraded Windows 11 to version 24H2 report a rather unique problem. It turns out that it is impossible to delete the cache files left on the disk after the update. This cannot be done manually or using different programs. In total, the files take up 8.63 GB of disk space, or at least that’s what Disk Cleanup reports.
User complaints have already reached Microsoft, which has promised a solution. The Redmond-based company explained that the cache may have been created due to a “checkpoint update.” This is a way to download needed and missing patches and updates. Windows 11 24H2 uses this feature, but as a result, it created a file of size that cannot be deleted on all updated computers.
No word on when Microsoft will release a patch. This is not a big problem, but if you don’t have a lot of disk space, it is better to postpone the update for now.
