What is a PTSM?
It is a framework for reflection carried out by the actors of a territory whose object is the continuous improvement of:
- Promoting good mental health
- Prevention of disorders
- Access for those concerned to quality health and life pathways.
- French territory is covered by 104 PTSM
A PTSM brings together all the actors who contribute to the journey of people with a psychological disorder: actors of prevention, care, social inclusion, training and professional integration, housing, access to sport, to culture…but also and above all to representatives of the people concerned, families, peer helpers.
The objective of PTSM
- Guarantee the good mental health of the population
- Promoting people’s recovery
- Adjust the provision of psychiatric care to the needs of the territory
- Promoting people’s recovery
From January to September 2024, the ministerial delegate for mental health and psychiatry carried out a Tour de France dedicated to territorial mental health projects. The good practices identified in the territories have been brought together in a document which can be consulted here:
