As announced in Incheon/Seoul during the 4th Congress of the Lausanne movementIn September, the World Evangelical Federation and the Lausanne Workplace Network (LWN) officially announced the launch of World Faith at Work Day. It will be held annually from May 1, 2025, specifying publication on October 3. “This special event aims to bring the global Christian community together to celebrate, promote and integrate faith into the workplace,” encouraging believers to make their call there. The date coincides with the International Day of Struggle for Workers’ Rights.
The event will usher in an international moment of unity in prayer. It is also intended to be “a meaningful reminder that our work is more than a responsibility, it is a calling. As Christians, we aim to be the hands and feet of Christ in every workplace, allowing his light to shine through our actions, our sincerity, and our love. May this day inspire us to serve with determination and show the grace of God in everything we do,” said Joseph Vijayam, LWN network coordinator, in the release. The first theme is: “Work as worship”. The campaign is inspired by the late Billy Graham’s belief that “God’s next great move” would be through Christians in this way.
