The best friend of Meghan Markle surprised with comments about their friendship.
On October 7, Zajfen shared on Instagram an emotional tribute to la Duchess of Sussexaccompanied by a photo of both at the Gala of the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles 2024. In the caption, he highlighted Meghan’s work with the hospital and its medical team, before referring to their close personal relationship.
“I am very happy to have shared this beautiful evening with one of my best friends. Meg, your commitment to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and the community is inspiring. Thank you for your friendship,” he wrote.
She also praised the staff at the Los Angeles Children’s Hospital for the care they provided to her daughter Lily, who has heart disease:
“We are deeply grateful to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles for the extraordinary care they provided to our daughter […]”. Zajfen, who represents the hospital as a heart ambassador, said that since Lily began her treatment at two and a half years old, the family has always received “kind, hopeful and high-quality treatment.” She also added: “The Children’s team supported us through the most difficult times and their dedication to Lily’s care has been key for our family.”
In their Instagram photo, the two friends appear holding hands and laughing. Zajfen wore a lavender lace dress, which she paired with a deep purple clutch. For her part, Meghan chose to reuse her iconic red dress, the same one she wore at the Salute to Freedom Gala in New York in 2021.
Last month, Zajfen posted another gushing comment about Meghan and her husband, the Prince Harry. The royal couple was present at the tennis tournament that Zajfen holds each year in honor of his son Georgie, Lily’s twin, who died in 2022 from a viral illness. The event aimed to raise funds for the organization that defends children’s rights. Alliance for Children’s Rightswhich fights for stability within the foster care system.

Zajfen later shared a post from the occasion on Instagram, which included a photo of her and her family posing alongside Meghan and Harry. In the caption, Zajfen not only mentioned that the Archewell Foundation sponsored the tournament, but also talked about how her friends supported her after Georgie’s death.
“Harry and Meghan have been a great support to our family, not only because of their friendship, but also because of the incredible work they do with the Archewell Foundation,” he wrote. “I admire your dedication to the community and our friendship. On behalf of the Alliance for Children’s Rights, thank you. And on behalf of our family, we love you.”
In April, Meghan contributed to Zajfen’s campaign for her organization, Alliance of Moms, a community that helps young parents in the Los Angeles foster system. For the campaign, Zajfen, Meghan and the former star of Suits Abigail Spencer wore white t-shirts with the phrase in red: “Love Like A Mother.”
Zajfen also mentioned that both Meghan and Spencer, both mothers, inspire her in her daily life.
“When I talk about those who support us with strength and sincere affection, I always think of them two. You inspire me. They support me when I need it most and take care of me like a mother would,” she wrote in the caption of her post.
Meghan has two children with Harry: Archie, five, and Lilibet, three. For their part, Spencer and her ex-husband, Andrew Pruett, are parents to 16-year-old Roman.
