the Chelsea player escapes a long

Senegalese striker Nicolas Jackson receives what could have been a lengthy suspension for his involvement in a heated moment during Chelsea’s 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest.

However, the Blues and Tricky Trees now face accusations from the English Football Association for failing to control their players during the fiery final moments of the match.

Nicolas Jackson avoids FA punishment

Despite footage showing Jackson shoving Forest defender Morato in the face during a late-match brawl, the FA decided not to take further action against the Chelsea striker.

The incident, which occurred after Jackson was substituted, was reviewed by VAR and included in referee Chris Kavanagh’s match report, although the Senegalese striker suffered no repercussions.

It was determined that the action did not meet the threshold of violent conduct, so Nicolas Jackson will not be punished retrospectively.

The altercation took place after Forest’s Neco Williams pushed Chelsea’s Marc Cucurella against head coach Enzo Maresca, sparking a massive brawl between the two sets of players.

However, Nicolas Jackson’s involvement, including what some called a “slap in the face” of Morato, was quickly shared on social media.

FA accuses Chelsea and Nottingham Forest of player confrontation

While Jackson escaped punishment, Chelsea and Nottingham Forest were not so lucky as the FA accused both clubs of failing to ensure their players behaved appropriately during the clash at the 88th minute.

In a statement, the FA said: “It is alleged that both clubs failed to ensure that their players did not behave in an inappropriate and/or provocative manner”.

Chelsea and Nottingham Forest now have until October 10 to respond to the accusations.

The match saw 3 players booked following the confrontation: Neco Williams for Forest, as well as Marc Cucurella and Levi Colwill for Chelsea.

Chelsea’s six yellow cards in total triggered an automatic £50,000 fine, their second of the season after being fined £25,000 for a similar offense against Bournemouth.
