The Laval Blood Drive returns for its 51st edition in partnership with Héma-Québec and the Laval Rocket, the event will take place on October 24 at Place Bell.
Donors will have the opportunity to meet elected officials and players from the Laval Rocket throughout the day. It is recommended to reserve your place now, online or by telephone, to donate blood.
« With the Laval Rocket and Héma-Québec as trio partners, we have everything we need to score goals and achieve victory for those who rely on blood donations. The Laval Blood Drive is an opportunity to demonstrate valuable and exceptional community involvement. To welcome Laval residents who wish to make this vital gesture, Place Bell will be specially designed to make visits pleasant. » says Stéphane Boyer, mayor of Laval
« The Laval Rocket organization is proud to team up with the City and Héma-Québec. Each donation is a winning gesture, since it can save up to three lives. We hope that the population will respond to the call in large numbers, because we all know someone who, one day or another, will need this precious donation », Adds Pascal Vincent, head coach of the Laval Rocket
Target of 600 donations
« The Lavallois Blood Drive is one of the largest blood drives in Canada. Since 1973, it has collected more than 50,000 donations. For 2024, the goal is 600 donations in a single day », explains Sylvain Lauzé, donor recruitment advisor at Héma-Québec
It should be noted that the majority of healthy adults can donate blood.
