King Charles interrupts his cancer treatment for the Commonwealth
Charles III has to undergo his weekly cancer treatment. (75) interrupt for now. The reason for this is an eleven-day trip to Sydney and Canberra in Australia as well as a state visit to Samoa. Together with his wife Queen Camilla (77), the British monarch will meet there, among others, with Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and other important representatives of the Commonwealth.
The royal couple expects a tight program. The two regents would like to attend up to ten appointments a day. Dates include a tour of the Australian Navy fleet, a visit to the world-famous opera house and participation in the community barbecue. The Australian government looks forward to the visit:

In this way, Charles shows his high level of commitment to his royal duties. During the trip there is only one day of rest for the king and Camilla. Is the burden not becoming too great?
Could Charles’ health suffer from the strain of the journey?
Anyone who is concerned about the Regent’s health can breathe a sigh of relief again. After a thorough examination, his team of doctors gave their consent for the state visit. His traveling staff also includes a doctor who will always accompany him.
The monarch showed that he is currently doing well at an event organized by the Commonwealth Diaspora last week, where he danced happily with those present:

Before the trip, however, first set up a gentle program.
King Charles III will not attend the COP29 climate conference
This year the Conference of the Parties (COP) will meet in Baku (Azerbaijan). There, leading representatives of the United Nations (UN) will clarify, among other things, issues relating to climate protection measures and sustainable development.
Although the monarch appealed to national leaders at last year’s COP climate conference to take the CO₂ crisis seriously, he will not take part in the upcoming COP29.
The reason for this is the inconvenient appointment. The conference will take place on November 11th, which would be shortly after his 11-day tour of Australia. In order not to delay treatment any further, Charles’ medical team advised him to cancel the Baku event and a visit to New Zealand.
This is what we know about King Charles’ cancer
At the beginning of the year, Charles III. underwent prostate surgery. The procedure went well, but it was subsequently announced that he was suffering from cancer. Since then, the Regent has adjusted his diet and undergoes weekly treatment. Which area of the body is affected by the disease and what stage it is in has not yet been announced.
