Tendam and UDIT launch the Tendam Sustainability Lab

Tendam, one of the main European groups in the specialized fashion sector, has announced the creation of the Tendam Sustainability Lab, a sustainability laboratory established in collaboration with UDIT, a Spanish university specialized in design, innovation and technology. This project also has the support of the consulting firm IDavinci and its main objective is to work on the research and development of the company’s R&D&i projects, as well as on the transmission of innovation and employee training.

The Tendam Sustainability Lab will serve as a hub of knowledge and innovation for both the company’s employees and society in general, through the dissemination and dissemination of content related to sustainability and circularity. Its objectives include expanding knowledge about sustainability, investigating current circular design practices in industry, promoting the use of sustainable materials and innovative techniques, and encouraging the adoption of materials with lower environmental impact and advanced technologies that improve the efficiency and sustainability of the design.

During the first training day, held in the UDIT Assembly Hall, Juan Cayón, Rector of the University, together with Maruca García Paredes, director of the institution’s fashion area, welcomed the attendees. The inaugural training session was led by UDIT professor and researcher, María Tamames.

Ignacio Sierra, corporate general director of Tendam, has highlighted the importance of the Tendam Lab in providing the company with R&D&I capabilities applied to the reality of its operations, allowing it to anticipate innovations already available on the market and put them to the market. service of its brands and the textile ecosystem in general. For his part, Rector Juan Cayón expressed his satisfaction for the trust that a company of Tendam’s prestige has placed in UDIT to carry out this ambitious project.
