Formation of government – Mölzer: “Blood will flow in the political crime” | krone.at
In the current “politics duel” on krone.tv between Eva Glawischnig and Andreas Mölzer, in addition to the current formation of the federal government, the trepidation of many state governors before the next state election is discussed. Styria, where elections will take place in November, and Burgenland, where the state elections will take place next year, could be governed by a blue state governor in the future.
Andreas Mölzer reports on rumors from the federal government that much has already been agreed behind the scenes for a sugar coalition made up of ÖVP, SPÖ and NEOS: “Minister lists are already being drawn up.” For Mölzer it seems as if what he calls the “coalition of the The future government described as the losing parties has already been fixed behind the scenes: “But the official negotiations will take a long time. It will be a political crime thriller and there will be blood.”
Eva Glawischnig sees the situation coming that the SPÖ in particular will have to accept massive losses compared to Andreas Babler’s election program: “No party is really rumbling after the election. That seems strange. Only in the SPÖ was the cacophony already going on the next day. The SPÖ’s Burgenland result is interesting: Hans Peter Doskozil is extremely nervous. Because he was always the southpaw of the SPÖ, but it didn’t work. His recipe didn’t work. Only in Vienna is there no shaking. The SPÖ even gained something there.”
Mölzer, dryly: “The National Council election was a political death of the landlord. In many federal states, the parties of the state governors have been severely punished.”
Duel at eye level
Regarding the Vorarlberg election on Sunday, the duelists believe that this will set the course for a future black-blue cooperation. Mölzer: “Bitschi from the FPÖ expects a duel on equal terms with Wallner from the ÖVP.”
Glawischnig’s dry reply: “Wallner doesn’t have a lot of behavioral problems for a Vorarlberger. He also called for a duel for first place. That will happen on Sunday too.”
Budget disaster is election fraud
The federal government’s current budget disaster is of great concern to both duelists. Mölzer: “Just two or three days after the election, there were suddenly disastrous reports about the current budget situation. This is election fraud and a mess. Every new head of government now has to give a “blood, sweat and tears” speech at the start of his term in office.”
When asked why in a possible sugar coalition only the variant with the NEOS was discussed and never the one with the Greens, Glawischnig replied defensively: “The poor Green election result was a clear signal from the voters.”
