Ukraine says it hit a Russian military base in Bryansk

The Ukrainians claim that rockets and artillery shells were stored there, including weapons that Russia received from North Korea, as well as precision-guided bombs.

A state of emergency was declared in the region of Bryansk on Wednesday after explosions, reported the Russian news agency Tass.

The Bryansk region straddles Belarus, Ukraine and Russia’s Kursk region, where Ukrainian forces launched an offensive in August.

It is not clear if there is any connection between the state of emergency and the alleged attack on Ukraine.
