Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) said that he might not attend the inauguration of President-elect Prabowo Subianto at the Parliament building, Senayan, October 20.
“Yes, maybe not,” Jokowi said when asked by journalists if he would attend Prabowo’s inauguration, Tuesday (8/10/2024).
After Prabowo was inaugurated, Jokowi said he would return to Solo immediately. “On the evening of October 20 I returned to Solo,” Jokowi said.
Before that, Jokowi had also said several times that he planned to return to Solo after leaving his duties.
It is known that Prabowo will be inaugurated together with the elected Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, on October 20. Both of them will go through a procession to take the oath of office of president and vice president of the Republic of Indonesia at a full session of the People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR).
