Vienna Hospital: things are improving (a little). You can now go to the emergency room without going through 15 until 10 p.m.

We have not yet returned to the previous situation, but things are improving a little at the Vienna hospital.

Until now, emergencies were open during the day until 8 p.m. without necessarily having to go through the 15th.

This possibility is now extended from October 2 until 10 p.m.

On the other hand, between 10 p.m. and 8 a.m., before going to the emergency room, you must always call 15.

Please note, however, that gynecological, obstetrical and pediatric emergencies remain accessible without calling from the 15th, 24 hours a day.

Thus, from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m., center 15 will be able to direct you to a permanent care system organized by the city doctor: the medical center on call or the permanent care organized according to the sectors.

Some advice from the management of the Lucien Hussel hospital in Vienna to avoid any excessive influx: “during the day, contact your attending physician as a priority. If you are unavailable, you can call 15 for advice or referral to a healthcare professional. »

And last clarification from the hospital: “the Vienna hospital center also provides treating doctors and city health professionals with direct access devices on certain channels to avoid going to the emergency room. »
