Princess Kate has completed her chemotherapy and has been venturing out in public ever since. On September 26, 2024, she secretly went to the ballet and then posted a personal message to all her fans.
It was only in the summer that Princess Kate finished her chemotherapy, which she underwent as a preventive measure against her cancer. Now she has declared that it is over, but she still has a long way to go until she fully recovers.
Since the end of chemo, the 42-year-old last appeared at the Wimbledon final at the end of July. Her performance was accompanied by a standing ovation because everyone was so happy to see their future queen. Her reputation as the new “Princess of Hearts” seems to be growing – a nickname that was previously held by mother-in-law Lady Diana (and would certainly be happy to share with Kate).
The First Princess of Hearts: Discover the tragic life of Lady Diana
At the beginning of the year, Kate had completely withdrawn to concentrate on her health. Public appearances still remain a rarity. She gave the reason in an Instagram video from September 9th: “Although I have completed chemotherapy, my road to healing and full recovery is still long and I have to continue to take each day as it comes.”
Incognito: Kate secretly attends the ballet
Apparently the princess had a good day on September 26, 2024: she quietly and secretly attended a ballet performance! Only after the event did she speak up on “X” (“Twitter”).
In it she congratulated the English National Ballet and Sadler Wells Theater for a “wonderfully powerful, moving and inspiring performance of Akram Khan’s Giselle” and praised “creativity at its best.” And put a “C” at the end of the posting so that it was clear to everyone that the message came from her and not her husband William (with whom she shares the official account).

Princess Kate: Does she draw strength from art?
For everyone who is now eagerly waiting for photos of Kate: None have been published at the moment, after all it was not an official job for Kate as a senior royal. Art and culture, like sports, have always been areas of interest for her and Prince William, which she seems to want to revive.
Cancer has “more than anything reminded William and me to reflect and be grateful for the simple but important things in life that so many of us often take for granted.” . It seems as if attending the ballet was a very private moment from which she hopefully draws strength.

We’ll probably have to be patient in general until new photos of the Princess of Wales from events are published. Because the brunette won’t be returning to her busy schedule. In the aforementioned Instagram video, she said: “However, I’m looking forward to getting back to work and taking on some more public engagements in the coming months when I can.”
