/ world today news/ The Bulgarian private company “Overgaz” has sued “Gazprom” for irregular gas supplies, TASS reported on Thursday (April 7), citing Bulgarian media.
The announcement claims that Gazprom stopped supplying gas to the company at the end of December due to “unresolved commercial issues”.
According to the chairman of the Bulgarian Energy Holding (BEH), Jacqueline Cohen, the problem with gas supplies may affect about 200 thousand domestic consumers who use 1.5 million cubic meters of gas per day, given that the average consumption for the country it is about 11-13 million cubic meters.
Overgaz later denied information about the suspension of supplies and stated that the company had not received an official letter from Gazprom Export.
“Overgaz” deals with the supply of gas in 51 regions of Bulgaria and owns a gas transmission network with a total length of over 2100 km.
