Peruvian right-hander Andrés Roca Rey has been injured in the gluteus by his first bull of the sixth bullfight of the Autumn Fair which was held this Sunday afternoon in Las Ventas, in Madrid. He has been operated on in the plaza’s infirmary and transferred “in serious condition” to the La Fraternidad Muprespa Havana Clinic.
The medical report indicates that the bullfighter suffered a “bull horn wound on the posterior 1/3 proximal side of the right thigh, with two trajectories, one forward of 15 centimeters “which causes damage to the hamstring muscles and bruises the sciatic nerve and another within 15 centimeters, which causes damage to the gluteus maximus muscle.”
“He underwent surgery under general anesthesia in the infirmary in the Plaza and was later transferred to the La Fraternidad Muprespa Havana Clinic“adds the report, which describes his condition as “serious.”
The Peruvian was preparing to finish off a series of right hands with a chest pass through the same python when the Fuente Ymbro bull overturned it spectacularly, catching him by the right leg and leaving him hanging from the python as he became hooked by the sleeve of his jacket.
