Islamic Health Authority: There is no truth in the news that is circulating

The Civil Defense Operations Room of the Islamic Health Authority said that there is no truth in the news that is circulating regarding the targeting of the Civil Defense Center in the town of Qamatiya. She confirmed that what was targeted was a residential house from which ambulance and rescue teams were working to evacuate the injured. Official authorities asked for accuracy in conveying information to avoid rumours.

This denial comes amid an increase in attacks on the Aley region, where the town of Kayfun was subjected to a violent air strike that targeted a transmission antenna belonging to the Al-Manar channel. This incident reminds me of the same attack that happened on the same antenna during the 2006 war.

It should be noted that there are approximately 6,000 displaced people in the town of Kayfoun, most of them from the southern suburbs and the Bekaa, which increases the humanitarian burden due to its continuous bombing. The Public Health Emergency Operations Center said that the Israeli attack on Kayfun resulted in the death of six people and the wounding of thirteen people with various injuries.

Investigations are continuing to determine the exact extent of the damage and the number of victims, while the residents of the city express their concern about the increase in the bombing and to target residential areas.
