The Minister of Industry, Employment, Innovation and Commerce, Eduardo Arasti, has reiterated the Government’s support for the new board of directors of the Cantabria Hospitality Association, with whom they held a meeting, headed by the new president, Eduardo Lamadrid, to address the situation of the sector.
For the counselor, this is a “crucial” sector for Cantabria, given that it makes up 13 percent of the GDP, with employability close to 14 percent of the active population of the Autonomous Community.
This is the first institutional meeting between the two and, in it, they analyzed the problems of the association and future challenges. In addition, Arasti has offered collaboration and dialogue for a “key” sector in the regional economy.
PFor his part, Eduardo Lamadrid, who attended the meeting accompanied by the general director of the association, Bárbara Gutiérrez, and the secretary, Felipe Santillana, thanked the meeting for its good harmony and arranged for future meetings.
Representing the Government, the director of the Cantabrian Employment Service, Lucía Serrano, and the general director of Commerce, Rosendo Ruiz, also participated in the meeting.
