Israel’s military is planning a response to Iran’s ballistic missile attack on Tuesday night and warned on Saturday that it would be “severe and significant” and that it was devoting much of its time to planning it.
Israel’s defense forces said Iran’s attack with about 200 ballistic missiles at the country would “have consequences”.
In particular, according to reports in the Israeli press, the IDF clarified that the fight is currently taking place on seven different fronts, as alongside the ongoing fighting in Gaza and the West Bank, Israeli soldiers and forces are involved in operations in Lebanon, Iran and its proxies in Yemen, Syria and Iraq.
In the meantime, all possibilities for the blow that Israel will choose to respond remain open with Washington, in fact, as an American official told CNN that he has not received any assurance from Israel that a strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities is out of the question, he said in CNN top US State Department official on Friday, as the West awaits Tel Aviv’s response to the missile attack launched by Tehran last Tuesday night.
The official added that it is “really hard” to predict whether Israel will use the anniversary of the October 7 attacks by Hamas to retaliate.
“We hope and expect to see some wisdom, as well as strength, but as you know, there’s no guarantee,” the official said when asked by CNN if Israel has assured the US that Iran’s nuclear facilities are off the table.
