Metal festival with ten bands in the Ingolstadt cultural center

This Saturday, the Halle Neun cultural center in Ingolstadt will be transformed into Hell Nine: the metal festival of the same name will take place there from 1 p.m. and offers a real concert marathon. Bands from metalcore, deathcore, hardcore and slam play for ten hours.

The organizers, led by David Weber from the band Call me Messiah, were able to bring two big names in the scene on board as headliners: Abbie Falls from the Czech Republic and Gutrectomy from the Black Forest have each already been on tour throughout Europe. But local greats are also on the program.

Abyss from Ingolstadt is also there

At the Abyss come from Ingolstadt, Escoban from Beilngries and Silent Misery. Drøver and Our Silent Voice make their way from Munich to Ingolstadt. In total there are ten acts that fill the cultural center with metal music. Doors open at 1 p.m. and the concerts start at 2 p.m. “Each band plays for about half an hour,” says organizer David Weber. “There is usually a 20 to 25-minute break for renovations in between – depending on how complex the renovation is.

Persevere thanks to pizza and burgers

There are various gastronomic offerings to ensure that concertgoers stay energized. Pizza and Pinsa are offered in the hall itself. Outside the hall there is a food truck offering burgers. “Last year we started on a smaller scale with 70 visitors. This year we wanted to go to the big hall,” said Weber. Hall nine offers space for up to 500 music enthusiasts.

Foosball table and tattoo artist

The festival organizers have also booked the trendy sports hall next door as a “chillout area”. Here you can browse the bands’ merchandise stands, there is an additional bar and the opportunity to play table football. There will also be a tattoo artist there.

The bands play until 10:30 p.m. If you haven’t had enough after that, you can go on to the after-show party at Club Amadeus in downtown Ingolstadt.

The festival takes place regardless of the weather. Tickets at the box office cost 37 euros. Further information at www.callmemessiah.com.
