In this regard, Dr. Moataz Al-Qai’i, a clinical nutritionist, said that carbohydrates are one of the basic ingredients in bread, and they are often transformed in the body into glucose, which leads to an increase in blood sugar levels, especially when consumed more, and it must be noted that this constant increase can increase the risk of diabetes.
Al-Qiai, in a special statement to Masrawy, said that there are some types of bread that rely on white flour to make, and contain a high percentage of saturated fat, which is linked to high levels of harmful cholesterol in the blood, which increases the risk of heart disease and blood vessels.
Al-Qai’i advised that the amount of bread you eat during the day must be reduced to avoid health problems and weight gain, stressing the importance of not eating more than 2 loaves of bread per day.
