Bad weather Cassandra persists until the afternoon, with locally heavy rains and storms in the north-eastern parts of the country and in western Greece.

Locally heavy rain and storms are forecast:
- Until the afternoon in places in western Sterea (especially in Aitoloakarnania), western Peloponnese (especially in the northwestern parts) and possibly in the southernmost Ionian islands.
- Until the afternoon, in the easternmost parts of central Macedonia and eastern Macedonia and until the evening in Thrace.
Kolydas: The effects are limited
According to the director of the EMY, Thodoris Kolydas, the intense phenomena tend to weaken.
“Locally heavy rains or storms will occur until the afternoon in western Sterea (mainly Aetoloakarnania), western Peloponnese (especially in the northwestern parts) and possibly the southernmost Ionian islands. By the afternoon, the easternmost parts of central Macedonia and eastern Macedonia will also be affected, and by evening Thrace,” he says.

100 tons of water per acre
According to Clearchos Marousakis, a large volume of water has fallen in the western part of the country, with local values approaching 100 tons of water per acre.
“As far as the development is concerned, it seems that in the next few hours the central-north-eastern part of Macedonia will be significantly affected, as well as the western parts of Thrace, while in its evolution, as the front will move further east, it seems to weaken, so it will affect with much less intensity the eastern Aegean and the northeasternmost tip of our country” he says in his Facebook post.
