The tragedy occurred at the end of April 2017. 27-year-old Magdalena Żuk went on a trip to Egypt alone. Her boyfriend, Marcus, stayed in Poland at the time. While abroad, the woman began to behave in a disturbing manner and was taken to hospital due to her deteriorating health condition. There, she fell out of the hospital window after a struggle with the facility’s staff. On April 30, 2017, she died as a result of her injuries.
According to the Egyptian services, the 27-year-old committed suicide by jumping out of the hospital window. This version of events was rejected from the beginning by the family of the deceased Polish woman. The direct cause of Magdalena Żuk’s death was injuries sustained as a result of a fall from a great height.

A journalist from the Gazeta.pl portal learned that the District Prosecutor’s Office in Jelenia Góra (Lower Silesia), which has been conducting an investigation into the mysterious death of Magdalena Żuk for seven years, still cannot complete it. It was recently extended until the end of December this year.
– said Ewa Węglarowicz-Makowska, spokeswoman for the District Prosecutor’s Office in Jelenia Góra, in an interview with Gazeta.pl on Tuesday.

Proc. Ewa Węglarowicz-Makowska also emphasized that “the evidence collected so far indicates that the cause of Magdalena Żuk’s death was a fall from a height” and that “there is no evidence to assume that the deceased was previously a victim of violence.”
