Przydacz: It would be an honor for me to be asked to run for the President of the Republic of Poland

Former head of the Chancellery of the Prime Minister, Michał Dworczyk, believes that “merging PiS with Sovereign Poland will prevent the party from winning the next elections.”

Michał Dworczyk’s concern, as I understand it, concerns the potential for the entire PiS agenda to be dominated by the Sovereign Poland environment, and I have no such fear, Przydacz replied. According to the guest of RMF FM’s Morning Talk, the finalization of the alliance of two right-wing parties “may release some new energy”, e.g. related to competition within the group.

The RMF FM journalist also asked whether the politicians of Sovereign Poland expressed remorse for their earlier, sharp criticism of their coalition partner.

Currently, no one has expressed such remorse, but talks are being conducted, I understand, at a higher level – replied Marcin Przydacz.

It’s not like we’re only talking about what’s going on in PiS and how Donald Tusk is breaking the law (…) There are also substantive ideas – we’re talking about nuclear energy, armaments – said Marcin Przydacz in Morning Talk on RMF FM, referring to questions about the current situation in his party and its plans for the future.

I have recently been talking to people who worked at CPK – managers, completely outside politics – over 30 of these managers leave CPK every month. It’s not because they’re getting fired, they’re just saying, “Nothing’s going on here, there’s just nothing going on. We don’t have any guidelines, so we’re not going to waste our lives just sitting here and waiting for someone to come up with some idea” (…) This is what the construction of Poland’s most important modernization project looks like today – he added, pointing to today’s problems in Poland and at the same time topics close to the hearts of Law and Justice politicians.

Where is the discussion about the container port in Świnoujście, where is the discussion about unblocking the Oder and creating a shipping canal? – Przydacz asked.

What opinion does the largest opposition party have on civil partnerships? Are its activists holding talks on this topic?

There is no parliamentary group that would talk about partnerships, but yes, we do talk – said the former deputy minister of foreign affairs on RMF FM.

When asked if there was anyone in PiS who supported partnerships, he replied that there was an environment in the party that would be ready to discuss the so-called “status of the closest person”.

Not in the spirit of circumventing the provisions (constitution – ed.) that talk about marriage as a union between a man and a woman – he clarified. Marcin Przydacz said that he was ready to discuss the procedure for such regulations if they were consistent with the spirit of the constitution.

Robert Mazurek also asked about reflection on the question: “Why did PiS lose the elections”?

They (the reasons for the defeat – ed.) are on our side and not on our side – replied the guest of the Morning Talk on RMF FM.

Marcin Przydacz mentioned, among others: mass strikes for the right to abortion that broke out during the pandemic, as well as the issues of State Treasury companies.

There were also external pressures. Let’s face it, the European Union’s behavior towards our government was far from the standards of equality – added the politician.

What lessons can his party draw from this for the future?

I think that we also need to listen a little more to the voice of politicians of the younger generation – those who have joined PiS in recent years, who can also win elections, the best proof of which were the last elections to the European Parliament – replied the RMF FM guest.
