Robert Barouki – IReSP

Robert Barouki is a biochemist and molecular biologist, hospital practitioner, PUPH ex2, director of the Inserm Thematic Institute of Public Health and director of the Public Health Research Institute.
He has devoted his recent work to the study of the toxicity mechanisms of xenobiotics, in particular certain environmental pollutants such as dioxins and endocrine disruptors. He is interested in integrated approaches in the environmental health field. He is a partner in a European program (HEALS) on the exposome, led the Research pillar of the H2020 EJP for HBM4EU biomonitoring and is currently involved in the European PARC partnership on chemical risk. He coordinated the H2020 HERA program (setting the research agenda in environment climate and health) and coordinates its sequel (SPHERA), and he is a partner of the H20020 Neurosome (Neurotoxic) and Oberon (endocrine disruptors), EIRENE PPP (exposome infrastructure) projects. and IHEN (exposome).

Since 2024, Robert Barouki has directed the thematic public health institute of Inserm and the public health research institute.
