Allensbach – With SG Maulburg-Steinen, the ladies II of SV Allensbach met the fourth-placed team from last season in the South Baden League. In order to create a good starting position, the Allensbachers had set themselves the goal of getting their first win of the season.
However, according to the club’s announcement, it was clear in advance that this would certainly not be easy in a resin-free hall against Maulburg women in a good mood.
Despite this, together with the men’s team from SG Allensbach-Dettingen, which was also supposed to play against the men’s team from SG Maulburg-Steinen, they started the almost three-hour away trip with great motivation.
Especially in defense, the girls – the SVA continued – found their way into the game with a good Elisa Singler in goal. In attack, however, the SVA had difficulty getting the ball into the opponent’s goal and the ball was lost too easily.
As a result, a very low-scoring game developed, but it always remained balanced. As the first half progressed, the girls made more breakthroughs, which resulted in goals.
But the hosts also made more and more progress towards the goal. Neither team was able to break away until the break and the score was 9:9.
SG Maulburg-Steinen started the second half a little better than SVA. The hosts managed to take a three-goal lead for the first time in the 37th minute (15:12).
The Allensbach girls chased this deficit throughout the entire second half. Catching up was also made more difficult by the fact that the chickens had to operate outnumbered over long stretches.
In return, the hosts acted agilely in defense and were able to consistently disrupt Allensbach’s build-up game. Finally, SVA II lost 28:31.
Despite the unfortunate defeat, it should be particularly emphasized that the girls never lost faith in themselves until the end. From the bench, the stands, but also on the field itself, the atmosphere was better than it has been for a long time.
The girls want to show exactly this solidarity next Sunday against HSG Freiburg II. The away clash will kick off at 2.30 p.m. With Harz the girls want to get the first two points of the young season.
