On Wednesday night (2), the Valve has released one of the biggest updates of the series Strike counter 2 recently. Among the new features, the producer promoted the arrival of the long-awaited “keychains”, as well as the arrival of a new box and a collection of skins.

See below for all the update notes, which in addition to the new features, included changes to gameplay, graphics, audio, network settings and fixes to several maps that were present or not in the ‘ current competitive circuit.

Patch notes 10/02/2024

– The Armory is now available in the shop
– Features 3 new weapon collections, 2 charm collections, 2 sticker collections, Gallery Case and Heat Treated Desert Eagle
– Purchase and activate an Armory Pass to start earning armor credits
– Advance credits whenever you earn XP with an active weapon pass
– Redeem credits for items in the Armory

– Includes charms: dynamic items that you can apply to your favorite weapons. Currently available only at the Armory
– Drag and drop Charms to place them precisely on your favorite weapon. A weapon can have one charm at a time
– Use a Detachment Charm to detach a weapon’s charm. The charm will return to your inventory and can be used again
– Getting a charm from the Arsenal gives three free charms. Additional charm accessories are available for purchase

– All items purchased from the in-game store (including The Armory), trade offers and community market are now subject to a 7-day trade and resale restriction
– All stickers, packs, and charms available in the Community Market, Armory, or friends’ Steam inventory pages can now be viewed in your own inventory
– Removed the ability to delete weapon crates from your inventory
– Added sticker scratch level selection when applying new stickers to weapons
– Added correct sticker wear rate selector when scraping existing stickers from stock weapons. Any stickers added can only increase your sticker scratch rate
– Added a way to remove existing stickers from inventory weapons as well as sticker scraping
– Added badge preview module on real items when using badges
– Fixed several issues where using badges or stickers would remove the weapon from its load
– Customizing currently equipped basic weapons will equip the innovative version

– Improved character positioning on steep slopes
– Legs are now bound and unbound differently for all use cases to help remove characters with aggressive tendencies (aka MJ tendencies)
– Bad server ping times no longer affect IK pin/unpin logic
– IK legs now reset to the idle position if the legs are set in a position significantly different from the one created
– Rewrote running, walking and squatting content to fix split leg/scissor stance when crossing
– Adjusted stair animations and behavior so that character heads are much more representative of where the player’s camera is, including characters that now correctly display a crouch when on the stairs
– Removed the popping sound when crouching or crouching when jumping and reduced the tilt motion in jump animations
– Fixed character’s stance exploding when falling from a ledge
– Fix for many cases where character position would click softly when crossing with slow weapons

– Flash grenades and HE grenades no longer detonate prematurely when exceeding the “sticky bounce” threshold

– Added display selection dropdown for windowless fullscreen mode in video settings screen
– Fixed fire effect graphics in the Advanced Video tab

– Fixed a bug where UI sounds were not set correctly during gameplay
– Fixed an issue where footstep sounds would play for the local player but not be broadcast to other players and vice versa
– Fixed an issue where Ragdoll’s shower sounds were playing incorrectly on live players
– Fixed an issue where voice chat did not work on community servers
– Fixed an issue where incoming voice chats would sometimes not close

– Added telemetry option to display graphs of network jitter and misdelivery
– Change how incorrect packet delivery is calculated. Previously, if packages were out of order, it could be counted as a wrong delivery, even if it was corrected and did not affect gameplay. Additionally, jitter has not been considered, although too much jitter can disrupt smooth gameplay. The new measurement method will only count reordered packages as incorrectly delivered if they affect gameplay. Additionally, if network jitter exceeds a threshold where gameplay is affected, packets will be counted as misdelivered even if they are not dropped and arrive in order.

– Added an optional 3rd layer to the environment blend shader
– Added biplanar mapping as an option for environment shaders
– Add an optional moisture layer, which can be painted with Hammer on environment objects with the feature enabled
– Added color corrections, roughness, and custom changes to the leaf shader and static overlay

– Removed support for command line options that were intended for development purposes only

Ancient
– Fixed some missing geometry
– Fixed some issues where players could detect the movement of players through water on the other side of the map
– Fixed some pixel spikes
– Fixed an issue where a player’s shadow could be seen through geometry
– Some cutscenes have been changed for better player movement

Anubis
– Fixed some missing crashes
– Fixed some geometry and cutouts that were interfering with grenade launches
– Improved clipping on some floors for more predictable grenade launches
– Fixed pixel view
– Cutout changes in some areas for better player movement

Dust 2
– Fixed some cuts in B bomb

Italy
– Added competitive match
– Fixed bird animations

Mirage
– Fixed some stuck points on the C4

Nuke
– Fixed pixel walking
– Fixed some stuck points on the C4
_ Fixed some gaps in geometry where objects could be lost
– Fixed some missing geometry

Overpass
– Changed some grenade cuts to prevent bad ricochets
