Tuesday in Casablanca, the ceremony of awarding certificates to 21 chartered accountants who participated in the training entitled “Financing strategies on capital markets”, organized by the Order of Chartered Accountants (OEC), was held.

This training program is the result of an agreement signed last February between the National Council of the OEC Morocco, the Casablanca Stock Exchange and the OEC Training Institute. The main objective is to equip accountants with the necessary tools to support Moroccan companies towards the capital markets. This training is part of a broader strategy aimed at promoting the financial market, enhancing the role of accountants, and improving the financial transparency of companies.

Tarik Senhaji, general director of the Casablanca Stock Exchange, stressed that this initiative responds to the economic challenges that Morocco will face between now and 2025-2030. He particularly insisted on the importance of stimulating private investment, highlighting the key role of accountants as trusted intermediaries for businesses. According to him, these professionals, trained in financing mechanisms such as the initial public offering (IPO) and other financial tools, help to reassure businesses and support their growth, an essential factor for the national economy.

The president of the OEC, Faiçal Mekouar, for his part underlined the importance of supporting companies in their quest for financing, particularly for growth projects on a national and international scale. He highlighted the need to encourage national savings to be directed towards productive investments. This first promotion brings together accountants from several regions of Morocco, illustrating the desire to extend this initiative nationally.

The secretary general of the OEC Training Institute, Youssef El Ouadi, specified that the training was provided by 18 speakers from the AMMC, the Casablanca Stock Exchange, as well as investment banks and seasoned accountants. The intensive program ended with the presentation of IPO projects, submitted to a jury composed of representatives of these institutions. This practical approach allowed accountants to confront the realities of the stock market, thus positioning them as trusted advisors for their clients.

This training cycle, specially designed for accountants, addressed various technical, financial, legal and communication aspects linked to financing strategies on the capital market. Particular emphasis was placed on capital opening methods and best financial governance practices.
