However, until Wednesday night, the front will produce light rains in some areas of the lower Great Lakes, the central Appalachians and the mid-Atlantic, in states such as Pennsylvaniathe north of Vermont and of Mainemuch of New Yorkparts of Delaware y Marylandalmost everything Virginia, West Virginia y North Carolina and the north of South Carolina.
At the same time, showers and storms are expected in much of the state of Florida until Friday. In fact, the NWS issued a marginal risk alert (level 1/4) for Excessive rain and possible flash flooding for the central Gulf Coast this Thursday through Friday morning.
“Tropical moisture will begin to accumulate over the central and eastern Gulf Coast and Florida. Upper level energy over the western Gulf Coast and northern Gulf of Mexico will move into parts of the southeast and central Gulf Coast, producing moderate to heavy rain over parts of the central coast,” the entity anticipated.

Meanwhile, the federal agency announced that the Heavy rainfall will create localized areas of flash floodingand will primarily affect areas that experience rapid runoff with heavy rainfall. Additionally, light rain and showers will also develop over parts of the Southeast and southern Mid-Atlantic Thursday into Friday.
Although the northern summer ended in the United States, some areas of the southwest of the North American country remain under alert due to extreme heat. This is the case of parts of the north, center and south of Californiawhich remain under excessive heat alertlike the south of Nevada and the west of Arizonain cities like San Francisco, San Jose, Phoenix, Palm Springs, Kingman, Death Valley and the Las Vegas surroundings.

Another large part of California, especially in its northern and central part of the state, but also in some southern areas, remains under heat warningin large metropolises such as Los Angeles, Bakersfield and Santa Ana. “Remember that heat is the deadliest weather phenomenon in the US. People who spend more time outdoors or in an uncooled building are at greater risk for related illnesses,” the NWS warned.
