Rockdale County Issues Shelter-in-Place Orders Due to BioLab Chemical Fire

ROCKDALE COUNTY, Ga. – Rockdale County authorities have reinstated shelter-in-place and evacuation orders following changes in weather conditions that have redirected the plume of smoke and chemicals from the BioLab facility in Conyers, Georgia.

On Tuesday morning, county officials noted that the “plume is banking down and moving throughout the county.” Residents are advised to remain indoors if they see or smell the gas cloud.
