They not only dominated the headlines on Sunday, but also the voting for the eleven for the 5th Bundesliga matchday: hat-trick Jens Stage (27) and Omar Marmoush (25), who was directly involved in all four goals for Eintracht Frankfurt. In the duel for the most votes from the TM community, the Werder professional ultimately prevailed. Stage was nominated by 74 percent of users, while Marmoush was nominated by around 68 percent – they are the only players above the 60 percent mark.
The two are each flanked by a teammate who also got on the scorers list. Bremen’s central defender Julián Malatini (23) had to accept three quick goals in his first starting eleven this season, but his goal opened the spectacular comeback to 4-3 in Hoffenheim. Frankfurt’s Tuta (25) excelled in an unusual position on the six and collected two scorers in conjunction with Marmoush.
The largest faction in the matchday’s team is promoted FC St. Pauli after the surprisingly clear 3-0 win in Freiburg. In addition to Elias Saad (24), who made the decisive difference with a brace and an assist, the squad also includes the strong defensive leader Eric Smith (27) and goalkeeper Nikola Vasilj (28), who prevented Vincenzo Grifo (31) from a possible equalizer with a penalty, which is supervised by trainer Alexander Blessin.
The eleven on the match day is completed on the offensive by the Leipzig duo Benjamin Sesko (21) and Bochum (4:2) got back into the game with a brace and a penalty. From the top game between Bayern and Leverkusen (1:1), only Munich defender Min-jae Kim (27) made it into the team, who was also chosen by the FCB bosses as the best man on the pitch as he was flawless and strong in tackles.
