Munich: Police hunt for brawling FC Bayern fans | Regional

München – All FC Bayern fans celebrated the historic 9-2 win against Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League on September 17th. There was a great atmosphere in the Allianz Arena, but a few Bayern fans still caused a lot of trouble.

The police are now investigating the previously unknown slobs and are asking witnesses for help.

What had happened? According to the police, this happened Spiel At the beginning of the second half there were “several physical altercations” in blocks 110 and 111.

The reason: Many Zagreb fans had seats in the south curve because some FC Bayern fans had simply resold their tickets before the supposedly unattractive Champions League encounter.

When the Zagreb fans celebrated the two goals conceded, “a group of Bayern fans became aware of them,” according to the investigators.

“Approx. “20 Bayern fans then moved to the neighboring block and combed through it in two larger groups,” reports the police. Supposed Zagreb fans were then “spoken to and asked to leave the block with clear gestures.”

Anyone who refused was pushed towards the block exit. In two cases, victims were hit in the head with fists and in another case, a Zagreb fan who was knocked to the ground was probably kicked.

But why are the police only reporting the outbreak of violence now, twelve days after the game? The officials explain their actions by only becoming aware of the crimes through subsequent video evaluation.

Police ask for calls to this number

Victims of the violent outbreaks have not yet contacted the police reported. Commissariat 23 (violent crimes) has taken over the investigation and is asking for help.

Witnesses who can provide relevant information are asked to contact the Munich Police Headquarters, Commissariat 23, Tel. 089 2910-0, or any other police station.
