Hack the Promise is a festival that deals with the challenge of digitalization
Fact, Fake, Fiction – Renegotiating reality
This year it’s all about the theme Fact, Fake, Fiction. What is true, what is false? What role does artificial intelligence (AI) play in this, which is increasingly influencing our everyday lives? The festival asks central questions: Can you trust digital reality? How does AI impact our education? And should AI be regulated? These topics are not only addressed in lectures and performances, but also deepened in interactive installations and discussions.
A festival of cooperation
This year will be Hack The Promise supported by other festivals: This Data Protection Festival and Image noise are included. Why? Because these topics are inextricably linked. Data protection, surveillance and digital art – all of these come together and different perspectives are examined together.
Free entry for everyone
Interestingly, the entire festival is free. Sabine Schumacher, city councilor in Lörrach for the Pirate Party and member of the organizing team, explains: “We want to break down inhibitions and give everyone access to digital art and culture.” The festival is aimed at everyone who is interested in the future of digital society – whether you are tech-savvy or curious.
