Höxter district (red). Under the title “Statutory check for associations”, the Höxter district volunteer office is offering free online training for board members and interested parties on Wednesday, October 9th, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
“The club statutes are of crucial importance for the work of every club. It creates the basic legal order and is the constitution of an association. With the training we address open questions about the topic of statutes,” says Katharina Serinelli, the volunteer manager of the Höxter district.
Attorney Michael Röcken is considered a top speaker
The speaker at the two-hour event is Michael Röcken, a self-employed lawyer in Bonn and a specialist in legal advice for clubs and associations. Röcken is a certified expert in non-profit law, author of numerous publications on association law and is considered a top speaker.
“It is important that statutes meet the current association and tax law requirements and are adjusted if necessary,” emphasizes Katharina Serinelli. The online training provides information and answers. The relevant law of an association arises from its statutes. Despite this considerable importance, the legal requirements are rather poor. In addition to the requirements from non-profit law, there are often requirements from data protection regulations and current association law. “The webinar shows what you need to pay attention to here,” says Sascha Atteln from the Höxter district volunteer office. During the online training course “Statutes Check for Associations”, participants can check the statutes of their association.
