Thursday evening, three individuals rang the doorbell of the home in Montreuil of a prison guard at the La Santé prison in Paris before physically attacking him and verbally threatening him. A police investigation is underway.
In Montreuil, three individuals rang the doorbell of the home of a prison guard on Thursday evening at the Santé prison in Paris before entering. One of the attackers was carrying a handgun, hit the victim in the head with a rifle butt and made him fall to the ground before beating him, according to information from Europe 1 .
He then pointed his gun at the victim’s wife. Another individual made threats saying “be careful next time in the isolation unit”. The attackers then left the scene.
An ongoing police investigation
The victim was taken to the University Hospital as a relative emergency for rib pain. The prison officer made the connection with an intervention on Thursday morning following the discovery of several telephones hidden in cells. A police investigation is underway.
